The Wrenly Quilt is finally done. I made it with Valori Well's Wrenly Collection and instead of putting in batting I decided to use minky on the back because it has such a nice weight to it. And lets face it who wouldn't want to snuggle with minky. Kinda like what I did on the Aviary Quilt where I used organic sherpa and also omitted the backing.
I really wanted to feature one of the large birds, so instead of making the whole blanket with squares I put in a jumbo square and a few rectangles (two squares, just not separated) to balance out the big square of the bird. Then I filled in the rest of the quilt with squares.

I quilted around the large square and the rectangles.

I love that this fabric is a coral color instead of the traditional baby pink.
