Perhaps I am slow to figure this out, BUT for those of you who don't know, this is totally awesome!
So usually I draw on my pumpkin with a Sharpie or a pencil or something and then you have to cut exactly where you drew cause you can't get it back off. But we recently discovered (for lack of being able to find a Sharpie or wanting to leave the room to get it) that a dry erase marker is the best thing ever for pumpkin carving!
Just draw your design on. Carve. Then wipe off the marks were you "missed".
(sorry I didn't get any carving shots but it was too late at night when we were carving our big pumpkin and I kinda want this little guy to make it until Thanksgiving :) but you get the idea!)
