All Star Flannel, Part 1

I am currently in love with this All Star flannel fabric made by Riley Blake as it is always fun to find 'boy' fabric. I was actually smart, for once, and ordered more fabric than I needed, so I decided to make some baby items that will all match.

The first being this blanket.  I used about a yard of the flannel fabric and backed it with coordinating colors of minky. The back is actually nine 13 inch squares, which gave me my first look at 'quilting' as I had to get all the corners of the squares to line up...which actually worked out. The Bubb already seems to be enjoying his new blanket.
