Storage for Used Needles and Pins
For the past year or so, well maybe not that long, I've had a little pile of my broken needles, bent pins, etc. sitting around that I just can't get myself to put in the trash as it could injure someone (I guess all those days spent in the lab made an impact on me after all, no sharps in the garbage). So I've been just keeping them together.
Well a few days ago we emptied a Tylenol bottle, I try not to think about the fact that we have used all those drugs, but I am getting off topic. This bottle, or any plastic type bottle like this (vitamin, etc.) is excellent for putting these sharp things into. Plus they have a child safety top - which typically means, child can get into but adults can't :)
And they all fit really nicely inside, plus a lot of room to spare.
A Bubb proof container! But I thought I would share just in case you are wondering what to do with your needles and pins :)

Great idea! My sewing machine came with a little two tiered tray with room for little sewing supplies, bobbins and such. It is FILLED with bent pins and used/broken needles. That is where I toss them everytime, and going on two years since I got it's quite filled. I think I have an almost empty vitamin bottle that will do the trick nicely!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Thank you! Not only had I been wondering what to do with my pins but I have exactly 6 pills left in my bottle of tylenol after this mornings headache. Perfect as I have a 5 1/2 month old who gets in to everything he isn't supposed to!
